Benjamin is a Navy SEAL and a self confirmed bachelor. He loves women but is not interested in any kind of relationship. Holly has been a widow for 10 years and she is happy with her life just as it is. She is a teacher and during the summer she works as a lifeguard. Now that her brother is getting married, her family wants to have a date for the wedding and all the pre-wedding activities. After a running into Ben at a bar and his pretending to be her boyfriend, he offers to be Holly's fake boyfriend until the wedding in four months. Can they convince her family they are dating without getting their hearts involved? This is a heartwarming story of loss, love, duty, and second chances. It is well written and fun. I love Holly's character. She is a strong independent lady who gives as good as she gets. D'Alba does a great job of depicting the relationships, dynamics and the camaraderie within a large family and also that between soldiers or law enforcement officers. Having come from a large family and having soldiers and law enforcement office in my family I really appreciated this aspect of the book. I laughed a lot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone loving short seamy reads. I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving a review which is my opinion alone.
